Conspire Requirements Specification/eXpress message log

From BBSWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The eXpress log is a log of eXpress messages which may persist between sessions. It stores all eXpress messages from the current session and (if not disabled) eXpress messages from prior sessions up to a given limit. See Conspire Requirements Specification/Config menu/eXpress config and NuDOC Requirements Specification/Config menu/System.

Note that a user selecting to clear their express log doesn't necessarily actually delete the Xes from the database. Xes are only deleted if they lose all reference -- that is, if they are deleted from BOTH users' X logs. This is handled in an ownership table.

Message reading starts at the newest X, working backwards. The <B>ack option changes the read direction. The number displayed is the user's global X number, not the session one displayed when Xes are received.

Outbound messages are displayed with "-" characters instead of "*" and ">" characters.
